The 170 acre Bantry Bay Golf Club is a Christy O’Connor Junior and Eddie Hackett designed USGA standard course, located, a short drive outside Bantry town in West Cork, Ireland.

Bantry Bay features an 18 hole Championship golf course, which is open year round. It is situated in a very scenic setting with 14 holes overlooking the bay. There are lovely sea views to the Islands and the Beara mountains.

The Bantry Bay golf course serves up a nice challenge to the scratch and handicap golfer alike, from the 126 meter par 3 to the long 487 meter par 5.

Although a relatively new course, it has attracted over 100 overseas members, perhaps enticed by lifetime overseas membership.

You can make your reservation on ++ 353 27 50579.

Bantry Pony Trekking

Beginners are especially welcome and our carefully selected Irish Cobs are sure to give you a safe pleasant introduction to riding and the Irish countryside.

Groups are kept small and are fully escorted and supervised at all times.

The private trails are around the farm and up to the summit of Mullaghmesha, where, 580m above sea level, the views are breathtaking and cover a vast area of the West Cork coastline,  (on a clear day, and barely your mounts ears in a good Celtic mist)

Rides commence with an assessment form, then fitting with helmets, body protectors and riding boots, provided by us, before you meet your horse and head for the hills! – well maybe not quite so fast! First you mount in an enclosed riding arena and are shown how to sit, hold the reins etc and control your mount ,a condensed lesson in four minutes! For new or nervous riders an escort will walk beside you at all times if you wish.

Then it really is off to the hills………

The Ewe

The Ewe Sculpture Garden & Gallery

Closed During Off-Season

Visit Website

The Garden is a wonderful place for visitors of any age to spend several hours and contemplate both the art and the nature. It is a private garden in an artist’s home, which is open to the public, so quiet enjoyment is appreciated.
Children are very welcome and will enjoy the garden tremendously, supervised by parents, but the garden is not a play ground.

In addition to the garden you may enjoy the gallery, with the sound of the waterfall as an idyllic backdrop. You will find colourful and humorous art work by Sheena Wood. Acrylic paintings and mixed media work on view give you a chance to view and buy a unique piece of art. The gallery also stocks a range of craftwork and cards, all handmade at The Ewe.
